click2shp is a browser-based GIS vector data creation and editing tool developed by Geospatial @ UCLA.
Imagine creating shapefiles for your geographic information system (GIS) without having to use expensive or complicated desktop software packages.
click2shp allows you to interactively draw point, line, and polygon features on top of a web-based basemap or satellite image and create a shapefile (or series of shapefiles, if more than one feature type exists on a single map) based on these features with the click of a button.
We believe that creating a shapefile and digitizing features should not be as complicated and as time-consuming as it is in most desktop GIS software packages.
