Sierra Burkhart is the Academic Director of UCLA Geospatial. Within the field of GIS, Sierra specializes in the study and development of Web-based mapping technology, spatial analysis, and geographic data visualization methods. She holds a Ph.D. in Geography from UCLA and teaches related courses in GIS, cartography, and programming both for UCLA Extension and for the UCLA Department of Geography.
